Wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase a shipping container in CM.

There is a hotel in Chiang Mai that is made from

shipping containers called SleepBox hotel,or SnooseBx,

Google it, they maybe able to point you in right direction,

I suppose you are looking for one to turn it into living

accommodation,well you wont find one for sale in a good

a condition in your photo,so a lot of work would be required,

There is also a few just off the main road on the way to Hang Dong. They have a sign attached with phone number for sales etc. Also the soi that runs off the left at the PTT service station before the Baan Tawai turn off has some better looking containers for sale down that road...... sorry its a bit long winded; I tried google maps but it didnt show the soi name or number.

I suppose it all depends on what you want the containers for.....shipping or converting into something else.

Curious what prices you hear locally.. I got a very high quote, plus delivery, when I looked but didnt follow up that much.

c/w door, 2 windows, using insulated prefab wall panels

Did not look into the container alternative too much due to insulation concerns

Off Topic--I remember about 10 years back, when I was still in Phuket, there was a company set up who were importing Aluminium Box Containers and insulating them, A/C fitting and selling on for Offices and even for 'Up-Country' Holiday Chalet type things--sounds a bit llike what is being referred to in the previous post [with the 'Switched-On' chick]

There a company advertising these near Baan Tawai... also in Baan Tawai there's a new place built out of these - they might help...
