best place to rent 4x4 or cheap off road bike chiang rai

Featured Replies

I'm a photographer and want to know where I can rent transport at a reasonable price for 7-10 days in the north. A cheap 4x4 is probably preferable incase of rain but do have weatherproof camera bag.

Let's move this over to the Chiang Rai sub forum. A link will also be left here. Good luck!!

When do you plan to come to the North? If it is in the next couple of months you will be disappointed due to the smoke haze.

Yes I know about the cane getting burnt off. A Thai friend whose rubber plantation borders a sugarcane field just got burnt to the ground. I'm going to Myanmar first then to spend time a little out of Chiang Rai near Laos border with gf's fmaily for Songkran. I work in the movie industry when not in Thailand where we make smoke for special effects so I guess I will try and work with it. We will be up in the hills so might not be so bad and think around Chiang Maiis worse. As for haze from high humidity I will just have to live with that. More worried about how hard the humidity is on my gear. Thanks for the reply. Are you up that way and do you do photography? Be great to meet someone up there who shoots.
