Road into Laguna Phuket to be overhauled

PHUKET: More roadworks, this time around Laguna in Cherng Talay, may cause drivers irritation and delay for up to five months, as Lagoon Rd, the main way into and out of Laguna, is overhauled.

Cherngtalay Pattana Co, which is responsible for the road – which has been in poor repair for years – have warned local residents that the renovation of the road will begin later this month (the exact start date is not given), lasting until July.

While it is underway only one side of Lagoon Rd will be open, for traffic coming out of Laguna.

Traffic going into Laguna will be redirected through Boat Avenue Rd, past Sai Taan, Regent Bangtao and the Dusit Laguna staff quarters, before rejoining the main road through Laguna.
