Microsoft tackles piracy in China with free Windows 10

According to a report in Reuters, Microsoft is attempting to push into the Chinese computing market this year by offering free upgrades to Windows 10 to all Windows users, even if they have don’t have a genuine copy of the software.

It’s an attempted to get legitimate versions of Windows onto the hundreds of millions of PCs in China, where most of the software is not properly licensed.

Facebook Messenger to add “send money” feature

In several months, Facebook will roll out person-to-person money transfers in its Messenger apps for iOS, Android, and the web, the social network giant said on Tuesday.

To make a payment via Messenger, users will just need to tap the new dollar sign button, enter the amount, and then select Pay. To send or receive cash, it’s necessary to add a Visa or MasterCard debit card issued by a US bank to your Facebook account.

Microsoft to launch Windows 10 this summer, announces partnership with Xiaomi

Microsoft has announced it will launch Windows 10 in 190 countries this summer and will include a new biometric login system called Windows Hello.

Despite not revealing an exact date for the launch, executive Terry Myerson stated that Microsoft is committed to releasing its new OS this summer in an announcement made during his keynote speech at the Windows Hardware Engineering Community (WinHEC) summit in Shenzhen, China.

Yingluck not to appear in court Thursday

BANGKOK: -- Former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatras will not appear in the Supreme Court's Criminal Division for Holders of Political Office Thursday when the court will decide whether to accept the rice-pledging malfeasance case against her.


Norawit Larlaeng, Yingluck's lawyer, said the session is for the court to inform public prosecutors of its decision whether it would proceed with the trial so Yingluck does not need to be present.

Apichart Boonsriroat, searched the homes of suspects accused of hiring someone to kill 49-year-old Mr. Panas Kaoauthai also known as “Tak Bophut” a local businessman who was shot in a restaurant in Bophut Walking Street area on Friday March 6th, 2015.

Taxi drivers fined for rejecting passengers at MBK Center (again)

At least 8 dead in Tunisia attack on leading museum

TUNIS, Tunisia (AP) — Gunmen opened fire Wednesday at a leading museum in Tunisia's capital, leaving at least eight dead and six wounded, including foreign tourists, authorities said. It was the first attack on a tourist site in years in Tunisia, a shaky young democracy that has struggled to keep Islamic extremist violence at bay.
