My wife is from Yala deep in the troubled South of Thailand and having visited it myself I can attest to it being one of the most beautiful cities in Thailand. The local government have made a stunning promotional video. One day when the troubles are a distant memory the jewel will be revealed once again to a wider world.

Great vid....looks really nice down there...such a shame that people always spoil beautiful places with there troubles and views.

Been there a few times, I believe it has won the award as the cleanest city in Thailand a few times, it's also the only southern province that doesn't have a coastline, which is possibly why it doesn't get so many visitors.
