Autos into Thailand

Featured Replies

Been following thread about buying car in other country and bringing to Thailand, my question can u bring auto with steering wheel on right side in?????

Which side is the right side ?

left <<<>>>> right laugh.png

Thailand is a left side driving country, so steering wheel on the right side is the norm.

Hope you don't have the absurd idea to drive a a car with the steering wheel on the left in Thailand blink.png

The enormous hurdles and cost of importing cars seems to be know to you already.

The usual answer is: forget it.

There was guy in a German language forum, stating he has problems with driving on the left side / steering wheel on the right and therefore wants a car with steering wheel on the left (like at home) cheesy.gif

Which side is the right side ?

The side closest to the center road.

That's why I drive on the center line, always on the right side.

Not sure about cars but you can buy left-hand drive motorcycles in Thailand, although expect to pay a premium over the standard right-hand drive models...
