Suggestion To Mods Re This Forum

Featured Replies

Here's a suggestion:

This forum contains many posts about jobs and business. However, when a job offer is posted, the thread can often get lost in the 'crowd'.

An example is concerning Oil & Gas employment resources. I have seen threads on a couple of occasions which give urls for relevant oil & gas agencies. But after a while, these threads get lost in the crowd and can sometimes be difficult to locate using the search function.

Why don 't we have a separate sub-forum (under the Jobs, economy, banking, business forum). This sub-forum is to be used solely for posting job offers relevant to Thailand.

For example, job offers that are posted directly by employers in Thailand, or job openings that you have seen on the internet, and which might be of interest to fellow TV members.

We could also 'pin' the resource lists for oil & gas agencies, as well as other useful resources for different industry sectors.

Here's an example of an employment opportunity that I found recently. The daily rate of pay is about 100,000 baht. (yes, you read that correctly).

http://www.exec-appointments.com/jobs/view...earchID=2225042

I have also seen positions for SAP specialists with a daily rate of about 50,000 baht.

My own field of specialisation is comms and telecoms, and I have seen positions in neighbouring countries, (Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore), that would be suited to someone living in Thailand and doing a weekly commute.

Anyway, what do other members and mods think on this suggestion?

I agree, but excluding teaching posts of course.

So, mods ?

Can't believe these ads, but don't want kill ya dream in Buz-in-us, Simon43..

It's a good idea indeed. Huski is working on it. Next forum software update is on Monday.

Thanks for heads up!

Yes Agree ...

I get lots of overseas posting offers including LOS and would be happy to forward them if anyone interested.

Personally feel too old and boring to really consider any major change at my time of life although a 2 year contract/offer on a certain chappies new palace in Dubai has got we "havering".......old Doric expression meaning thinking about it.. :o

See what happens when you ask a sensible question Simon?

Bet you didn't think it would happen that quickly. :D A result in 2 days. :D

Now where was my wish list. :o

As said, it is here - see top of page.
