kanderson
I'm on 60 day tourist visa i got from California Thai Embassy. I will need to purchase 30 day extension somewhere near Surin I saw an immigration office up near Cambodian boarder when visiting the market up there ( on the Thailand side ). Is that the one ? Seems like quite far away. Thanks for any information.

KhunBENQ
Thaivisa has a map with the locations. https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?t=h&ie=UTF8&msa=0&z=6&hl=en&mid=zgfDwlRKjQiw.ki8rj55aIYww From: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/3139-useful-immigration-information-visa-descriptions/#entry22268 And so yes, southern Isan is badly served and the border checkpoint is the place. More than 50 km from Surin city. Some are hitten worse... 200 km is not rare. Edited April 7, 2015 by KhunBENQ

Kap Choeng is on the the 214 highway some 60 km south of Surin. If you need transport go to the Surin bus station and catch the white van that says Chong Chom/Surin. Chong Chom is the crossing into Cambodia. Approximately 60 baht and one hour and the van will let you off in Kap Choeng for KCI. You need a pp photo and 1900 baht. All immigration office will be closed April 11,12,13,14,15 for Songkran.
