CNXBKKMAN
All the carriers have the cheapest airfares at some point or other. Depends when you want go and how early you book. If you booked now on Nok Air for september its probably rock bottom if they have a promotion running. If you want to go to tomorrow during Songkran the flights may be full or top price 3000 baht plus. You need to check Air Asia, Nok, Bangkok Air, Thai Smile etc
TerryLH
I think the other airport is where you'll find the cheaper flights.
canopus1969
Lowest tend to be Lion and AirAsia - both from DM.
TallGuyJohninBKK
Every time I look for a flight to Sakon Nakon for my wife, it ends up being Air Asia has the better promotion price over Nok Air. AFAIK, those two are the only ones flying to Sakon right now. But as I recall, Air Asia to SN has only two flights per day, one leaving BKK in the early morning, and the other after dinner time. KhunBENQ
Examples for 6th May (a "cheap" day), oneway price. Thaismile, 2 flights daily, departs from Suvarnabhumi (BKK), 1190 THB, 20 kg baggage included. NokAir, 4 flights daily, departs from Don Mueang (DMK) 1020.56 (first screeen), swindle price as usual Taxes: 278.44 displayed in second screen. So at least 1299 THB. 15 kg baggage included. AirAsia has only one flight per day. Website currently out of order for me... (error404busy.htm) ThaiLionAir, 4 flights daily, departs from Don Mueang (DMK) 675 THB No hint on baggage found. Unclear? But looks like the cheapest option to Udon. Edited April 15, 2015 by KhunBENQ
KhunBENQ
Sakon Nakhon Two flights daily with ThaiAirAsia, Three flights daily with NokAir starting from 999 THB. So if you actually want to go to Sakon Nakhon then NokAir seems the first choice. As said AirAsia website down.
dirtycash
thanks very much khun ben ;-) so they have nok air from bkk airport straight to sakon nakon ? Edited April 15, 2015 by dirtycash
KhunBENQ
so they have nok air from bkk airport straight to sakon nakon ? To the best of my knowledge. Its clearly displayed as a 1:10h non-stop flight and not as a "Fly’n’Ride". 8:05h, 12:45h, 18:30h from DMK. https://www.nokair.com/nokconnext/aspx/flightschedule.aspx And its from Don Mueang, the "old" airport now the home of the low cost carriers. Quite crowded sometimes, access roads busy. Sakon Nakhon Airport is very close to town. You could almost walk your trolley there https://goo.gl/maps/13M9x Edited April 15, 2015 by KhunBENQ
TallGuyJohninBKK
yes, both Thai AirAsia and Nok Air are direct from DM to SN.
rocketboybkk
The cheapest flight from sat bkk-uth isn't that much cheaper than Thai. If you're looking to save a few baht take the bus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ricardo
<snip for brevity> ThaiLionAir, 4 flights daily, departs from Don Mueang (DMK) 675 THB No hint on baggage found. Unclear? But looks like the cheapest option to Udon. Thai Lion invariably allows 15kgs of hold-luggage, in-the-price.

kkerry
15kg, that's good (not) when it fall & lands in your or your child's head. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If the luggage is in the hold then it won't be falling on anyone's head...

Ricardo
Having once bought a box of a dozen Crispy-Creme donuts at DMK, and had them fall out of the overhead-locker onto my head, I now take more care when stowing my carry-ons ! Fortunately they still tasted wickedly good, and were no doubt horrendously fattening, when I eventually got them home ! Ye Gods, but I hate dieting !
