PM assures Finance Ministry will not undergo reshuffling

BANGKOK, 20 April 2015 (NNT) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has denied rumors that the officials would be reshuffled in the Ministry of Finance.

However, the Ministry of Education will undergo reshuffling. The PM assured that the reassignments were ordered for practical purposes and will not affect the morale of civil servants in the ministry.

When asked whether the National Council for Peace and Order would use Section 44 of the interim constitution to order a public referendum on the new charter, General Prayut said he will wait until after the draft charter has been debated by the National Reform Council before making a decision.

Regarding the investigation into the Songkran bombing in Koh Samui, the premier said that reports indicated the perpetrators were former politicians motivated by both political and personal gain.

Meanwhile, the Thai Department of Civil Aviation has continued its efforts to upgrade the Kingdom’s aviation safety standards.
