Chaiyaphum people calls for double-track railway
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Over 1,000 Chaiyaphum people participated in a public hearing at Chaiyaphum Park Hotel to express their support for the construction of double-track railway to pass through their province.

The hearing, which was held at 9 am, was the last one before the State Railway of Thailand would conclude a report to send to the government.

The SRT will present results of public hearings for the government to select one of two routes, which are Chaturas-Chaiyaphum-Nong Bua Lamphu-Loei and Lam Narai-Phetchabun-Loei-Nong Bua Lamphu.

I believe there are plans to build a West East Line from Burma to Mukdahan that would go just south of Kalasin City.
