Thai passport renewal in Pattaya?

Its definitely still open i walked by it not more then 30 minutes ago. Ground floor level at the Avenue Mall, towards the rear

Not anymore. My wife got her last passport there just after it opened in 2013 and need to renew now prior to her visa application. We had something to eat in the Avenue Sunday afternoon and the topic came up but when we looked over at the office it was obviously shut down.

We have been looking for info today, hence this thread, and apparently it has moved upstairs to the 3rd floor. Would have been too simple to put a notice on the door of the empty old office.

Was open last week. Ground floor at the back of The Avenue.

  • A picture taken in Feb 2014: (seems to have been opened on June 3, 2013) If only I could find the pictures I have taken of the office itself. Maybe deleted.

  • From my experience the office at Avenue is very efficient & well run. A rare highlight in civil service so kudos to the staff & management there

Is this office still open in Pattaya?

It was at the end of last year  (2017)  when my wife renewed her passport...it was very busy  so don't see a reason to close it...but you never know

Also the online reserve an appointment is kind of useless as you need to do it 2 weeks in advance !

Pretty up-to-date entries from 14 August.

Notes about closure for the July holidays.

300 max queue per day.

On my last visit to Pattaya I just noted that they had moved (as written above).

Too lazy to search upstairs.

Pictures from 25 January 2018. Open.

(Pictures taken 16:26h before closing, so quite empty)

Just can't remember exactly where in the Avenue complex that was.

My Mrs did hers again in March 2018 at the Avenue. It’s better to book your queue number in advance. She didn’t this time, and was there early, but her queue number was still around 180. It was 3 hours before she got processed which takes all of 10mins!
