Due to back pain and neck pain, I'm considering using a hammock indoors for night-time sleeping. There seem to be plenty of online testimonials about the health benefits but I'm wondering if any TV members have tried this? I will only do it if my doc agrees, of course. If you are currently using a hammock for night-time sleeping or have tried it, please let me know. NB this is not for the beach hammock jockeys or for the "rope tattoo" string hammocks smile.png , I'm asking those who have tried with a quality 'material' hammock.

Which brings me to the second question: where - preferaby in Bangkok - could I buy a 'material' hammock, eg cotton, silk? The best I can find so far are the very small net nylon thread multi-layer type hammocks - very comfortable and dont leave the rope tattoo but not sure about lying in for longer periods. I also have a stainless steel hammock frame (imported from Vietnam I think?) but if you have any ideas for fixing a bedroom hammock, please give your experiences.

I've read that hammocks made from parachute silk are the best, any input?

I'm guessing that it would take a while to get used to using a hammock all night, probably swapping between hammock and bed for a while. It would be great if anyone has done this already could share their thoughts.

Thanks...

I do not use this for sleeping now, but have in the past of necessity had to sleep in hammocks, and I do find that time spent lying in them seems to be good for the back.
