My visa expires on the 15/11/2015.

I would like to know if anybody could tell me who early I can apply to have it renewed. As I will be out of Thailand from mid October until after it has expired.

All offices 30 days early will be OK.

Some offices 45 days early will be OK.

Exceptions between 45 days and 60 MIGHT be possible in special cases where you can provide a good documentation excuse of need, such as showing air tickets, reasons, etc.

Don't count on that.

Sorry I can see you want to know specifically about Samui but if all you need is 30 days early or less, I think you have no worries there, or anywhere.

You would not be able to renew any visa. You could extend your permission to stay and get permission to re-enter.

I think you can get an extension of stay and permission to re-enter up to six weeks before expiry, although under special circumstances, show travel confirmations, and you might get it a little more than that.

It's not retirement, it's based on marriage. I will be offshore when it expires and will be away for almost 3 weeks before this too

Dude, O-A is a Long Stay / "Retirement" visa obtained only abroad.

Anyone would have assumed you are now seeking an annual extension based on retirement as you said O-A.

Anyway, ignore everything I said and suggest you go to the main visa forum.

I am expert on retirement extensions, and know nothing about marriage extensions.

Sorry for the confusion but in future don't say O-A if you don't expect people to think you are talking about retirement.

The best for OP is to ask at Samui Immigration driectly, giving information about his special situation – normally Samui Immigration is not too happy to renew extension earlier than about a week before expiry, but I had it once done almost a month in advance...
