Rabianprai Valley Resort Khow Yai Review

Featured Replies

I've just spent a couple lovely days at this boutique resort in the foothills of the Khow Yai National Park. This forest retreat is the perfect antidote to sooth away the stress and strain of Bangkok or, in my case, Pattaya. Rabianprai is located about two hours north east of Bangkok...just outside of Nakhon Nayok (on the near side of the Khow Yai mountains).

The resort is nestled in a small valley surrounded by lush mountainsides. There are a dozen or so air-con bungalows spread out amongst a well tended garden and forest setting. The bungalows are basic but clean and comfortable enough. There are larger cabins for families or groups. I was pleasantly surprised to find strong free wifi throughout the property and 3G data also reaches the property. The open air Thai restaurant serves up tasty dishes. The staff are very friendly. There is a small pool. For the kids, there are also some friendly house pets that roam the property, including a pair of tame love-birds, a flock of fancy chickens, a gaggle of forest hens, and a pair of peacocks.

There is a small lake adjacent to the resort and kayaks are available for guests. He surrounding area also has some river rafting and waterfalls to explore. There is a Tesco shopping center about 20 minutes from the resort where Farang provisions may be secured, as well as a selection of the usual farang fast foods (Pizza Company, KFC, etc.) It is also here where one may have their espresso coffee drinks needs fulfilled.

I throughly enjoyed my time at Rabienprai. It's peaceful atmosphere is perfectly for a few day rest and recharge. One can choose to do nothing and just relax and read/surf at the resort or take a day trip to the adjacent national park. The air is clean and he sounds of birds fill the air along with the rustle of the ind at nite. Rates start at about B1500 per nite. Www.rabianprai.com
