One woman killed when Phuket tour bus flips in Krabi

One woman was found trapped under the wreckage.

KRABI: -- One passenger was killed and 28 injured when the tour bus they were travelling on flipped and fell into a ditch in Ao Luek in Krabi last night.

At 10:30pm the Nopparat Centre in Krabi was called to the scene of an accident where a tour bus travelling from Phuket to Krabi crashed and landed on its side in a ditch on Petkasem Rd at Baan Lhumtong in Ao Luek.

Police and rescue workers arrived at the scene where they found the Sungai Koluk-Phuket tour bus lying on its side in a ditch with many injured passengers trapped inside.

The body of a woman passenger was found trapped under the wreckage. A crane was used to lift the wrecked bus so that the body could be removed. The body was taken to hospital.

Rescue workers also took the 28 injured passengers to Ao Luekand Krabi hospitals.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.

In defense of my first comment, I must say I have seen some silly suggestions made sometimes by other posters. And yours could be taken either way and I was truly hoping my second comment was the correct one.
