Dental work in Isaan District Hospital

Featured Replies

Just thought some people would be interested. I have been having some dental work in an Isaan District Hospital. I first had a root canal and then the tooth capped, total price just over ฿6,000. I am now in the middle of having an old crown removed, two x-rays taken, infection removed ฿770, then a root canal ฿3,400, with three x-rays taken, and now a permanent bridge, consisting of crowning one tooth, one false tooth and crowning another tooth, ฿7,000. All in all I think very reasonable. The only problem is there is about a month between appointments, but if you have the time, the price is very good, the work is also.

I'm interested, currently undergoing root canal work, ฿13 000.-, Just one question: where is Isaan District hospital?

Every district in Thailand has a district hospital. These are community hospitals which usually have very limited capacities. The OP's is an exception. Most district hospitals will offer basic dentistry but most would not be able to do a root canal or bridge, they'd refer to a highet level

Yes Sheryl is right, I'm lucky our district hospital has a lot of the services a provincial hospital would have, but for me is a lot closer, and is also less crowded. I think that perhaps because the closest provincial hospital is 80 kms away, they try to put more services in ours. By the way it is Kuchinarai Crown Prince Hospital, in Kalasin Province.
