PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Monday a 20 year old Burmese man was killed by a hit-and-run motorist in North Pattaya.

The crash occurred on the Sukhumvit Road in Naklua close to Soi 28 on the Bangkok-bound carriageway and resulted in the death of Mr. Aung Theng.

The car which struck the pedestrian, who was seen to be crossing the main carriageway, failed to stop at the scene but was eventually located in Soi 14 off the Sukhumvit Road. The driver of the Black Nissan Tiena had fled, leaving the badly damaged car abandoned.

Need to educate drivers so can tell Thai nationals from foreigners. As victim was Burmese, expect small fine and some spare cash to family. Maybe all foreigners should wear Star of David or some other means to lessen chance of drivers running away after smack down, thereby giving over worked BIB more seat time.

Maybe all foreigners should wear Star of David

Actually, the Thai authorities in a town around Rayong made all the Burmese wear orange (I think it was orange) vests, so everybody could know who and where they were.

I'll try to find a link.

A post making a persons death into a joke has been removed

Why not delete him from the membership also? As uncivilised as TVF becomes sometimes, the smartass jokes about death are uncalled for.
