Mrs G went to the VFS at the The Trendy Office Building today to submit her visa application, with her appointment at 13.30pm. Wasn't seen until 15.00pm and completed by 15.30pm. These are unusually long processing times as our previous application took only 20 minutes. She commented on over 500 people waiting at the application centre for both Australian and UK visa's. Mrs G almost did not make her flight back home.

My sympathies. I had exactly the same experience three years ago, so no improvement there then. I opened a can of worms by suggesting VFS treat ordinary customers so badly to encourage payment of an elite/VIP fee.

I sympathise with her experience. Though when my sister in law was there in Feb she was, like your wife previously, in and out in under 30 minutes.

I thought, though, that the Australian office and UK office were separate, so a long line of people waiting in one shouldn't effect service in the other?

Maybe if one is busy the take staff from the other?

My missus was through in 20 minutes on two separate occasions.

I think an earlier appointment time (we had a 9.30 and a 10.00) probably helps.
