konisaan Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Got frustrated recently at Index after we spent ages going through their fabric catalogs only to find that half of what we chose was out of stock with the supplier and no restocking schedule. Looking for quality fabrics to make cushions, runners, curtains etc to decorate our home. I've also spent quite a bit of time at Warorot on the street with the Chinese temple. The upside is that what you see is in stock. The downside is that most of the fabrics around are for dressmaking and the fabrics are mainly cheaper and lighter than what we are looking for. Are there any shops hidden in other parts of Warorot or anywhere around town that carry their own stock? Looking more for European look, not Thai.
bamboozled Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 There is a shop called Fabric House on the Sankampang road...on the left going out of town. I've never been in so cannot comment. There is also a shop along the Ping river that sells nice looking fabrics (as I ride by on my bicycle). It is on the east side of the river. I don't know the names of the bridges except for narawat so if you cross at nawarat bridge and take a left you will eventually find it on the right hand side. But you have to go about 4 or 5 km and cross under some highways before you get to it. That's not the way I arrive but explaining my route is too difficult. It is in a very new strip complex abutting the road and a massive 3 story steel sign, painted red, has been erected with the name of the shop on it. The sign could hold up an overpass it is so massive. Sorry for the poor directions. It might be worth a look or it could be a waste of time...
chingmai331 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 R u looking for 100% or only 75% polyester? Who on earth wants to wear that kind of sticky fabric in T'land? Give me cotton, linen, silk, bamboo, hemp fibers any day. Oh, yeah, on the latter, leave the buds in.

Vila Cini, across from Riverside Restaurant has beautiful silk fabrics, available by the meter, suitable for home decor and home decor items like table runners, cushions, etc. Their Facebook and Website are maddeningly short of photos https://www.facebook.com/pages/VILA-CINI/1549038568643364?sk=timeline
