Has anybody got any experience of putting a center stand on a Honda CB500F (or X) ?

Featured Replies

Im thinking about possibly putting a center stand on my CB500F.

The main reason would be for cleaning and maintaining the chain. Plus Im about to move to Koh Pha Ngan and think a center stand would be better for some of the parking around there.

Has anyone got any experience of doing this on a F or even on a X and was it easy enough ? Would it be the same on a F and X ? If so where did you purchase the stand and any issues with it ? (Currently im in Chiang Mai for another month).

i fitted a centre stand to my CB500X......

Bought from Honda Big Wing - circa 2,300B as i recall....

its an easy job and the exhaust has a rubber bung / bracket built into it, which the centre stand hits when you take the bike off the stand...

Unfortunately, the 500F doesn't have this, so the stand won't sit in the correct place...

you will need to get someone to make a suitable bracket - not a dificult job, but something to think about before you jump in feet first.
