Lite Beer Posted June 20, 2015 Share Posted June 20, 2015 Police summon guards for info about money truck robberyTHE SUNDAY NATION BANGKOK: -- POLICE summoned three security officers late yesterday |who had guarded a money truck when it was robbed on Friday evening - to provide more information.Investigators also inspected security camera footage of the suspects and the routes they took prior to and after the robbery, an informed source said.Two robbers targeted the Kasikornbank truck at the Tesco Lotus Rama I branch and made off with Bt8.45 million.As the security guards carried the moneybags into the Kasikorn Bank branch at the building, the robbers handcuffed the sole armed guard and fled with the money on a motorcycle.Pathumwan Police superintendent Colonel Jarut Saruttayaporn said police needed at least two days to catch the thieves.Metropolitan Police deputy commissioner Maj-General Chanthawit Ramasut said investigators believed the robbery involved an insider.He said police were looking into the fact that a regular guard assigned to that team was on |leave and had been replaced. Police investigators will be meeting to discuss the case tomorrow morning. It took you twenty-four hours just to "summon" your prime witnesses, the guards, for an interview. Exactly. It's nearly always reported that the police ' rush ' to every incident and this seems to tire them out completely as follow up enquiries are at a snail's pace whilst they recover from the exertion and have to summon witnesses / suspects etc to come to then rather than getting off their backsides and pushing on with things. I was thinking the same, instead of asking questions on the spot to get fast info for potential arrest in their get away and interviewing the main whitnesses or possible acomplances they give them 24hrs to get their story straight and get away. I was thinking the same, instead of asking questions on the spot to get fast info for potential arrest in their get away and interviewing the main whitnesses or possible acomplances they give them 24hrs to get their story straight and get away. Anyway, the sun comes up, the sun goes down, what to do. Come on be fair, it's gonna take at least that long to find out which coppers are requesting the crime remains 'unsolved'.
