Does anyone know of any Nobel Laureates living in Chiang Mai or elsewhere in Thailand ?

If so be they Thai Nationals or Expats, If Thai what field was the Nobel earned?

It's a highly politicized "prize" many times presented to the latest glamorous happy face and has lost a lot of prestige over time..... But gained in marketability.....

Usually those folks are not habituating places like - or akin to CM....

They more to gravitate toward more profitable locales.....Whether for funding or academic pursuits.....Places where they "run" into more opportunities.....

CM might not be a sexily - stimulating destination for them....

We're at more the Ted Talk audience level.....

Actually I can't see one of them retiring completely and isolating them selves from what ever field it is in. I think they all like to keep their hand in.

As it is highly political (my deserving father wasn't awarded one because he refused to play the game) maybe this is a good place for laureates as it's a Mecca of form over function.
