Patong Monthly accomodation

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

Apologies incase this is a rehashed subject, but had a look around and the last post i could find like this one was in 2010.

im looking for a monthly rental in Patong for 3-4 months (longer if i love it) from November in the 6000- 12000bht range. Im going to train, so don't need anything fancy. Just a decent working tv, aircon, clean, bathroom and Internet if possible. Preferably somewhere around/between the new maximum fitness and jungcylon/fresh food market so i can walk to both. But if its cheap and nice enough but further back i suppose i could hire a scooter haha

Thanks in advance for any information offered :)

Topic moved to Phuket local forum. Best of luck with your search!

The lowest rates can be found at the small buildings along and just off of Nanai Rd. These are 1 room units with modern ensuite bath, and usually a small balcony. Monthly rents range from 3,500 to 5,500 plus utilities, and are rented primarily by local Thais. Thai son in law just rented a very nice one for 4,500/mo not far from Soi Banzaan with no differential for low and high season.

Anything along the road you're interested in (Sai Kor) is probably going to have seasonally adjusted rates, so whatever rates are in effect now probably will be higher starting in November, as these are mostly occupied by seasonal tourists. There are a number of newer guesthouses along Sai Kor that are currently offering very low monthly rates (as low as 4,500/mo), but the closer you are to Soi Banzaan / Jungceylon, the higher the rent.

I think your budget of 6-12K is very doable on Sai Kor or Nanai, even in high season.

Interesting that you are prepapred to pay 37,000 baht in gym fees for 3 months, but are looking for cheap accommodation.

Ive booked my first month, got a decent room for cheap in a guesthouse. So i might wait till i get there and go around Nanai and have a look.

Well its actually 24000 for 12 months at maximum... which i know is expensive for thailand, but ok for patong lol

plus im going to train, not to sit in my room all day so i dont need a luxury room.

plus its one of the only gyms the has actual aircon, the barbells match, has more than 5 20kg plates, is clean and is on the beach.

Also out of the "well equipped upper market" gyms in patong its quite well priced.

You are correct.

When you said you were "going to train" I assumed (yes - never a good idea) that you were training for a fight, so i looked at the packages that catered for that training.
