Bait for the little buggers?

Featured Replies

I mean the little Geckos , how to get rid off them?

And what about the TuctaTucta hiding somewhere and blaring just when you are about to slip into sweet dreams?

You moved to a tropical country and you're complaining about the little geckos??????? blink.png

I sure hope one of the mosquitoes they might have eaten doesn't have dengue.

Watch out for snakes, pythons, and other nasties.

I never understand why people want to get rid of them,

they are part of living here, they are harmless, good fun

watching them chase each other, catching insects, including

mosquitoes, which in my book,is more of a plus for them,

against the droppings which are always dry and easy to

clean up,learn to love them.

Just their consumption of horrible little insects should make them everyone's friend.

I actually have a couple that "beg' at my feet when I eat dinner at home. I drop little bits of food and they devour it, they like rice, pasta, fruit, and meat, they don"t seem to like cheese.

Brilliant!

I love them. When I am back in Thailand they make it feel like I'm home. The cheese might give them nightmares!

You could always get a Tokay ( they dine on geckos) then you would complain that the Tokay's keep you awake at night !

Sometimes they do wet ones though that run down the wall, these take a little more scrubbing the next day.

Yup, you certainly know it when a Tokay moves into the neighbourhood.

But they're far less intrusive than being surrounded by loudspeakers at 0530, reminding you it's time to pray. I'll stay with Thailand, tokays and all!

I wonder if the Thais count the calls a tokay makes, as a certain number means good luck.

We've got one at the moment that is regularly doing 11 or 12. The first time I thought it was really odd, I've never heard one go that many before. Don't mind him though, as he's fairly subdued. We had one a couple of years ago that was on steroids and sounded like a very loud caricature of himself. I actually laughed every time I heard him.

Be the change that you wish to see in the world.

Just don't try to move a Tokay against his will--they are ferocious things with adequate teeth and the balls to use them.
