Chuwong's family now goes to Khunying Porntip



BANGKOK: -- The family of the construction billionaire Chuwong Sae Tang is now resorting to Khunying Porntip Rojanasunan, director of the Central Institute of Forensic Science, for help to examine forensic autopsy to divulge the actual cause of his death.

At the same time, the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) police will question the pregnant “pretty” and caddy today over the unusual share transfer of over 200 million baht to her by the billionaire, and will also ask for her consent if she will allow DNA test of her baby after the billionaire’s family suspected if it was Chuwong’s baby.

Chuwong’s sister Ms Wanpen Tanathamsiri said the family will seek help from Khunying Porntip this morning to re-examine the forensic autopsy report it remains unclear of the actual cause of death of Mr Chuwong.

The autopsy report was compiled by the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the royal Thai Police.

After seeing Khunying Porntip at the Justice Ministry’s Central Institute of Forensic Science, she said the family will go to Toyota Motors Thailand’s head office to ask for cooperation and explanation if the damages caused to the Toyota Lexus van could kill Mr Chuwong sitting on the left side.

Chuwong was first concluded by Uomsuk station police to have died from impact after the van crashed into tree after the driver, Pol Lt Col Boonyin Tangphakorn, claimed to swerve to avoid hitting another vehicle overtaking his van instantly.

Boonyin was charged with reckless driving that caused death to other.

Ms Wanpen said she wanted the pregnant caddy who is also stock broker to allow DNA test of her baby to clear suspicion that it might not be her dead brother’s baby.

The CSD police have found that the pregnant broker had also close association with a man in Surat Thani.

The CSD will summon the man for questioning if he was involved with the unusual share transfer.

Good on the family for not accepting the initial police "conclusion", which especially stinks as one of their own was the driver. It is so sad that ordinary Thai people don't have access to the same level of justice.

I hope the family takes who is responsible for the death right down. The holes in this case are big enough to drive a road train through as in the Koh Tao murder case, the main difference being who they are and how much money they have.

How can the RTP even allow a forensic death exame to be given to the family without a cause of death being noted? Either they did not finish what they are tasked to do by their job descriotion (determine cause of death) or they are aiding or hiding something or someone.

Then again the individual doing the atoposey may have been the local butcher a feww months ago???? At the very least you would expect a delay in determineing cause and further tests are and will be condeucted.

So the caddy is still alive then, where do I place a wager that she refuses or flees before this whole fiasco comes to a head.

1. We have a Thai family that don't trust the police and are saying it in a very public way

2. They also do not trust the police forensic labs

3. They have requested that another team take over the investigation and that an independent forensic lab go over the evidence.

4. They seem to think that some certain influential people are distorting the investigation

It all sounds quite familiar, next we will hear that all the evidence has be lost or used up

Why do they not try to get professional accident experts from other countries?
Many large insurance companies have accident experts which have analyzed and reconstructed 1000s of accidents.
I hope they can get some good independent experts.

All very good points, I would like to add why would any experienced driver need to swerve off the road and into a pole just because he was being overtaken on the road? The fact that his wife died exactly the same way while he was driving is enough for anyone to put 2 and 2 together except corrupt BIB. Very disturbing. I hope the family gets to the truth and I hope all the culprits get whats coming to them.

I am not so sure. It is too unbelievable to make a good thriller. But it certainly would make a great story for a Thai soap !!!

These are not "ordinary" Thai people. Or was that your point? Sorry if I misunderstood. Anyway, it's unfortunate they were so quick to cremate the body. There's no requirement in Thai Buddhism for quick disposal of the remains -- I seem to recall one Royal whose corpse was kept for something like seven years waiting for an astrologically auspicious date for the cremation. Islam requires burial within 24 hours if it's at all possible, I understand. Anyway, if Dr. Porntip had conducted the original autopsy she would surely probably have found any suspicious injuries. Since she didn't, it's unlikely she'll be able to come to any reliable conclusion from the existing report.

I'm confused now. I understood there were two "pretties," one a stockbroker who also works occasionally as a presenter, the other a caddy who also works occasionally as a presenter. This story makes it look like there's only one woman, and the amount has somehow dropped from almost ฿300 million to about ฿200 million.
