KUALA LUMPUR: -- Malaysia condemns the heinous act on innocent civilians yesterday in Bangkok which claimed the lives of two Malaysians and others, New Straits Times reported.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the Foreign Ministry and Malaysian Embassy in Thailand will be in touch with and provide assistance to victims’ families.

“I urge Malaysians who are traveling in Bangkok to be more alert and to contact the Malaysian Embassy for assistance if needed,” he said in his Facebook posting this afternoon.

A bomb blast occurred at Bangkok’s Erawan Shrine which is a tourist attraction, killing at least 20 people, and wounding at least 120 people.

Earlier today, Wisma Putra has confirmed that two Malaysians — Lim Saw Gek and her son Neoh Jai Jun were killed in the explosion. Meanwhile, an official at Malaysian embassy in Thailand, said that three Malaysians were injured in blast.

They took 3 days to condemn the attack. sad.png

Are we in an united world against terrorism ?

It's not a right and wrong issue but LoS took 10 days to say they tracked MH370 east to west accross northeren Malaysia but didn't say anything because nobody asked them.

On top of that the Mals are having a bit of bother with their PM

and a supposed 2.6 billion Ringgit "gift" he has received from

a "friend" in the Middle East deposited into the PMs own bank

account. Which, BTW, strangely amounts to the so-called

missing 700 Million USD from a 1MDB account...plus the

PM's sacking of the DPM & AG after those two asked the PM

that if he had nothing to hide then please explain to us this money

you have received. In the case of MH370 the Mal government

didn't have a clue what to say to anybody...period. And the

Mals have always been a slightly secretive & paranoid lot in

matters such as MH370 & 1MDB...and many others.

Plus, the victims were ethnic Chinese, a minority amongst Malaysia's population. They are probably doing it - condemning the attack, helping the victims' family etc.- as a formality and not because they feel compelled to take care of their 'own'. A Malaysian I know told me the embassy here is next to useless, and it seems like it's bad news if you're a Malaysian and you're in a spot of trouble in a foreign land.

They may condemn the bombing in Krung Thep, be it quite late. I still wonder where the insurgents in the south get their help from. Only option seems to be Malaysia. An easy place to run and hide, outside the reach of the Thai army. And where do they get their supplies from? Surely not from air droppings. The Rohingya slave trafficking wasn't only facilitated by Thai police and army officials. There must have been similar on the other side of the border

If the bombings were carried out by a group related to the insurgents in the south then the Kingdom will badly need foreign expert intelligence help. American satellites with ears and eyes must be the mostg capable around. So turn back to the Americans and fight on two fronts. Take significant action against the trafficking and find the bombers. If they are not caught, more bombs will follow. More tourists will stay away. More money will be lost for Thailand. So far that (sadly) has always been the most motivating...
