Hi all

It is that Yearly Holiday feeling when you cannot wait to hit the sand and beaches in beautiful Phuket

The wife and me are after a nice clean close to shops (Jungcelyon Bangla Beach Rd) hotel which offers a pool and is clean .

Can you please help us find something decent.

Travel dates: February 3rd week till March 2016 (19 nights)

We would essentially be in Patong Phuket for roughy 19 nights.

Anything off Ratuchit Road will be fine

Thank you and awaiting your responses

Grand Mercure is relatively new and should be nice, down a little soi off 200 Year Rd.

Deevana Plaza took over the old Mercure, pool is nice in there for sure and you are right on 200 Year. Phuket Merlin,Holiday Inn both have great pools although I think the Holiday Inn gets rowdy with kids (not my bag). The Burasari is nice but I'm not sure their pool gets sun as it's sort of within the complex. Good luck !

Did you try Wotif.com, lots of specials there for a lot less that what you are willing to pay. I learned my lesson, no more travel agents ever again, with Wotif we got away with double the time in Karon for a 1/4 less $$$.

Have had good experiences with the Deevana and Baumanburi hotels, both on Ratuchit Rd. Baumanburi behind the Merlin near the Hard Rock and the Dewevana the other side of Bangla Rd if that makes sense. $40ish per night low season. Not sure how that equates to high season pricing though. Used to book using Sawasdee.com but agoda.com seem cheaper the last few times.

Good luck!

Baumanburi a good suggestion Greasystick, but the Deevana (different than Deevana Plaza, the old Mecure) has been a construction zone for the last six months as a hotel going up in front of it. Would not reccommend that one.

Stayed at the Deevana Patong Resort & Spa in August this year for a week. They are updating the entry in to the hotel and that's about it. We had no drama's with noise at all. Location wise I prefer Baumanburi, but that's maybe more out of habit as I usually stay down that end of town
