BMTA launches Bangkok bus transit app

BANGKOK, 10 October 2015 (NNT) – The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) has unveiled its bus navigation application for smartphones aimed at providing more convenience to passengers.

The BMTA has reportedly launched transit and navigation information services on smartphones through 'BMTA Application' that allows passengers to navigate in Bangkok on buses with more convenience.

The application provides bus search function for bus routes and bus stops, nearest bus stop location, bus speed indication, and display BMA news.

All transit information is provided in an interactive format with maps and detailed trip information, as well as transit points and important places along the route. The application also features fortune telling function that works by entering the bus ticket number.

The application is now available for users in beta phase, while all feedback regarding the use of application can be sent to the developer via [email protected] email address.

Police to summon 24 celebrities as outcry rages over beer photos

BANGKOK: -- Police will summon 24 entertainment celebrities about their posting pictures of themselves with beer products on social media, which looked to clearly violate article 26 of the Alcohol Beverage Control Act 2008, deputy police chief Pol General Pongsapat Pongcharoen said Saturday.
