Thai Post offer insurance on EMS parcels of no more than 2000 Baht. I discovered this after researching on their website. I could find no further info. The Post Offices are closed for 3 days.

1. Is it possible to pay an insurance premium to increase the cover on an EMS parcel to, say, 5000 Baht? In the UK, you can obtain higher amounts of coverage by paying more for the service.

2. If not, do they offer other services, under a different name, with higher insurance cover of, say, 5000 Baht?

I like to go armed with information when dealing with government offices in Thailand.

Thanks for any useful information you may offer.
