Greetings all,

seeking info and advice for a Kanchanaburi getaway per the subject title.

Questions:

is Erawan park and falls going to be a monster zoo that weekend, or due to upcoming Songkran holiday maybe not so much?

bus to Kanchanaburi, possible to get from bus station at Ekamai?

places to stay, I see river huts are they mosquito ridden nightmares or o.k., recommendations on places to stay?

best way to do the national park and is it worth staying near there or can do day trip and enough?

Thanks in advance for any insights, GOM

Songkran next year falls on April 13 - 15th and since that's Weds - Fri, will probably extend over the following weekend 16 - 17th, making five days total. For sure, in common with the rest of Thailand, it will be a madhouse in K'buri, particularly on the roads. The statistics are well known.

Are you talking specifically about the weekend immediately before Songkran, i.e. 9 - 10th April, or any weekend before? It's unclear.

Songkran

No other word on this planet evokes every

spine chilling nightmarish emotion of fear,

loathing, feel free to insert your own words.

Loy Kratong,, what harm can some Lotus

flowers inflict.
