Nong Khai

Featured Replies

I'm headed up to Nong Khai for a few days- have been there before but not for long enough. I'm up to speed on things to see there, but I'm curious about what the good discos might be, especially gay-friendly areas (I know most of the discos are probably mixed crowds, that's fine).

I'm posting this here in the Isaan forum because I think you guys will have greater depth of info than the general gay subforum.

There is a bar called Tassadet there run by a man who might be gay....and alot of the people who like to hang out there might be gay too...but I wouldn't want to out anyone...hahha...also alot of people who appear to not be gay like to hang out there too because its a small and rather nice place near the downtown riverside market and they have a really nice selection of western music (not cowboy music...farang music)....mostly a relaxed ambiance....but..of course...people do have their moments!!!

P.S. It seems that they have a good selection of beverages but since I don't drink much anymore I'm probably easily impressed. I had some wine there that was quite good.

It's been a couple of years since I've been to Nong Khai and I'm hoping its still there.
