PATTAYAPUNTER Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 From the top of Khao Phra Bat (aka "Buddha Hill"), this skier was spotted having a good time!
kurgen Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Reminds me of the 3 paddies in the news last week saying they were going to sue their travel agent and Pattaya City Council. They booked a 2 week water skiing holiday but couldn't find any down hill slopes when they got here

I think the punchline you're after is "they couldn't find a lake with a slope" BTW - What are "paddies"?

I think the punchline you're after is "they couldn't find a lake with a slope" BTW - What are "paddies"? "Paddies" is a term affectionately used to describe persons native to the Emerald Isle, or Ireland, as it is more commonly known. Also a term used in connection with rice farming. I don't know about down-hill skiing in Pattaya but we could certainly have white-water rafting. Just try negotiating Soi Khatalo after a heavy rainstorm and you'll see what I mean! Patsycat Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Did he bring his ski poles all the way from wherever? Excess baggage?
PATTAYAPUNTER Posted October 5, 2006 Author Posted October 5, 2006 Did he bring his ski poles all the way from wherever? Excess baggage? He told me he made them himself from the gate of the Tourist Police station up the hill. He was out there for an hour with his blowtorch but the officers had all gone home or asleep after 2am as the bars are closed ( ) and they feel no longer needed. I'll get my coat.
