90 day online reporting

I successfully completed a report on line for a friend about a month ago. Mine failed again as it has every time so far.

I believe on line reports are handled in Bangkok, not at individual offices.

You could be right about that because I did my 90-day report online and when i went to immigration to renew my 1-year visa extension in Phuket the officer first went through all the pages of my passport and the documents in there. Then he asks me where my last 90-day report is and I point him to the document on the last page of my passport. It seemed like he had never seen such a document before because it took him quite some time to figure out what the document was and if it was a genuine one.

I did mine on Sunday 1 November , i did not get any e-mail confirmation , but i went to the went to the web site a few days later and entered my Ref No : which began with TM47 and it said Approved , so i printed out the page and put it in my passport. Only thing , it mentioned that i would be informed of the date of my next report , but i want and there was no reference to it on the website. I just hope i don't get problems when i next go to the Phuket Immigration

I completed my most recent 90 day check-in on line in late September.

I would point out 2 problems looking at the notes above:-

1. I had to use Internet Explorer to succeed, I started using google Chrome but could not escape from the 1st page. Once I used IE everything was fine and I completed the whole application in about 3 minutes.

2. You receive 2 reports (in my case the following day) if your report was successful. The 1st is one page saying that the report was successful but not giving a new check in date. You need the followup report from the 1st which gives you a check-in date which is A5 in size, the same as Immigration normally give you, if you complete a manual (no pun intended) check-in.

Ensure you get the 2nd page giving you a new check in date and attach this in your passport, if not this may confuse the Immigration Officials.

Good luck but remember you need to use IE, until they correct their input problems.

Wrong!

Online reports are received by the central database located in Bangkok and electronically checked.

If the details you entered are the same as those on the database, your application is put in 'pending'.

A electronic pending status is automatically sent to your local Immigration office and if your details are also correct on their local database, they will manually 'approve' the application.

Note:

The system was designed for use with IE.

If you last entered Thailand before 2013 your details will not be on the new database, which the online report system uses.

Very good informative procedural post by Tywais
