Certifying Documents..

Featured Replies

here's a good bit of info for anyone trying to get copies certified as true copies... the interviewing officer can do it at the interview. i was given this information over the phone by one of the staff of the embassy visa section. she was great. as my partner had already had his interview, and were in a taxi to the visa office (surasak) with outstanding documents, she called them and told them to expect us, and they certified our translations on the spot as we submitted them.

in short - the interviewing officer can certify your documents at the interview stage, as long as you remember to take the originals (or original plus original translations which have been stamped already as being true translations).

incidentally, throughout applying for 2 holiday visas and one permanent visa, at every point of contact the service at both offices has been flawless. we've never had to wait, we've met with friendly and professional staff, and had any questions answered by phone without any problems and with them going that little bit further for us than obliged to.

still waiting to hear on the permanent visa, been 4 weeks so far...

hope this helps...

Do you mean we dont have to go to Foreign Affairs?

Aftet the doccuments get translated by a translation agency and stamped, we can go straight to the embassy. Last time I got a doccument translated at a translation agency, they only stamped their address and logo on the doccument, is this good enough before taking it to the embassy?
