Copys The Real Thing

Featured Replies

When i apply for my wifes Uk Settlement Visa and i submit supplementary documents such as marriage cert ect can they be copys or do they have to be the real thing. And do i get my file with all the information about us back from them.

If you look through the spouse visa checklist you will see that for some documents the original plus 1 photocopy are required, for others the original or a certified copy and for others it isn't specified so photo copies would be acceptable for those.

My personal view is that it is best to provide either the original documents or a certified copy, as ordinary photocopies can be doctored to give a false picture.

Yes, all the documents submitted in support of an application will be returned to the applicant once the process is complete.

When we submitted documents to VSF we gave them originals of all and copies of all ,After the docs were checked we were handed all the original documents back ,And when we went to pick up the Passport at the VSF all submitted paperwork was given back to us
