Resysta Terrace Decking Quote

Featured Replies

My friend just received a quote for his terrace decking to be replaced. The certified contractor is Trim & Sander out of Phuket and are using this product called Resysta. It's made out of rice not wood and is warranteed for 15 years. Anyone know of this contractor or the product Resysta?

Cheers

Dont know but hope termites dont like it, Conwood or Shera may be better cheaper?

Hmmm, rice, maybe with a bit of fish for the discerning termites.

If you want real wood, i suggest you stick to local hardwoods, treated pine or modified pine.

If you want cheap, go for conwood or sherawood.

Anything that is more expensive than conwood but is not real wood, in my experience is not worth it and the guarantee is useless.

Well it's 40% plastic. Why would termites want to eat plastic?

There are no maintenance free product in this world.

If you use con wood or Sherawood, it is a unnatural looking product. It has low tensile strength and breaks when bent.

If you use a wood plastic composite like the one thread starter wants to use, it is not an environmentally friendly product. WPCs suffer from color fading. Some products are also prone to fungi attack.

These products are also not cheap.

Why not just use real wood. You get to enjoy the natural look, as long as you maintain it properly it will last at least 10 years.

Second hand original decking boards are the same price as the shera conwood.

For me the natural wood worn in and random nature of it was a no brainer. Just needs some prefixing time and attention with the chaindrite.
