Perhaps some of you have heard of the infamous annual Thaivisa forum Poster of the Year (POTY) contest.

Last year I "won" it (with NancyL close behind, no butt jokes please) and what a wild ride it has been.

Opening shopping malls, making snarky comments at total strangers ... it goes on and on!

But enough about me.

During this year's nomination for POTY process (what, you missed it?) I chose

robertthebruce

as the best member active on THIS forum for the contest.

Right now, in the rundown round where the contenders are thinned to only 20 people, good old robertthebruce isn't gonna make it.

The way this works is that you MUST vote for one from Column 1 and one from Column B (Chinese restaurant like) but beyond that you can additionally vote for as many names as you wish.

Vote as you like as I wouldn't presume to influence your free will vote.

However ... IF you would like roberthebruce to be in the TOP 20 voting phase, he's gonna need some more votes!

If you do specifically want to support robertthebruce I suggest looking at the current results. You may wish to vote for other members but if they already have a high number of votes, if you want to really help robertthebruce you really should NOT vote for those people, as that will make it even harder for robertthebruce to beat the odds for a comeback.

Keep in mind you are free to delete your votes and re-vote up until the deadline of the voting.

Then from there, it's on to the SEMIFINALS (from 20 to 5) and then the GRAND FINALE (picking the winner from the 5).

As I'm not supposed to be lobbying now, just an informational update.

robertthebruce is trailing in the SEMIFINALS, as expected as he isn't one of the forum's "big names" but really he is still in striking distance of squeezing into the top 5 GRAND FINALE.

All it might take is 10 or 20 more votes.

The voting for the SEMIFINALS ends Christmas Eve at midnight.

This poll also allows for changing votes and voting for multiple members.

If you want to help robertthebruce specifically, voting for him AND those ahead of him in votes will not help him. Pretty much everyone is ahead of him now.
