Thai Chamber of Commerce to push forward tourism development project

BANGKOK, 17 December 2015 (NNT) - Thai Chamber of Commerce vice president Kalin Sarasin has confirmed that the chamber has taken steps to develop Thailand's tourism and service sector.

Given the concept under which tourism generates income distribution, reduces inequality and creates patriotism, a chamber committee has aimed to create tourism standards, develop tourism quality, promote tourism-income distribution and develop human resources for tourism industry.

The chamber's committee for tourism and service sector has recognized personnel problems in tourism industry and thus organized a human resource development project in cooperation with various private agencies such as the Thai Hotels Association, Association of Thai Travel Agents, Dusit Thani Hotel Group and Erawan Hotel Group.

That is to prepare Thai personnel to better deal with the ASEAN Economic Community while as many as 35 million tourists are expected to visit Thailand in 2016.

Hmm, seen on local TV, with programs about Thailand, lately three episodes on jet ski scams, pointing out how the protected racket works. I mean the scams only be running for 30 years so understand it takes time to shut it down.

There again all these proponents of helping tourism might take a small peek in that direction as the international airplay really doesn't paint a nice picture of legalised theft from tourists.

Another day, another random number. Does TAT agree with this one, Mr Sarasin??

The situation is not tourism based it is cultural.
