BANGKOK -- Three Chinese nationals were arrested at Suvarnabhumi international airport Wednesday night on theft charges for allegedly stealing from a Japanese tourist.

The arrest of the trio, identified by airport security officers as Lee Tae-fah, 52, Xu Chien-jun, 48 and Xong Kwang-su,50, followed a complaint to the airport police by Mr Hori-uchi Kasuheta.

The Japanese tourist said he arrived at the airport on Tuesday and while he was on the second floor of the airport’s arrival lounge he lost his shoulder bag containing 9,561 baht in cash an Aeon ROP credit card, an ATM card and a Thailand Club card.

Police then examined video footages at the arrival lounge taken around the time the Japanese was still there. They found three suspects who matched the descriptions given by the victim.

The police returned to the airport on Wednesday night, hoping that the three suspects were still around preying on other tourists. They found the three men and made arrests. All confessed to stealing from the Japanese.

If you'll believe a story that three Chinese men actually confessed, then I've got some Ocean Front Property in Arizona "For Sale". Are you interested in buying that story too?coffee1.gif

Quality Chinese tourists. Well done, TAT.

Oh my God, what a disgrace for China!

Why are there no pictures of thieves?

If you think these guys are thieves, wait until the Chinese heavy hitters roll through and start building that railroad.

If nobody is pointing at anyone, I just can't accept this version of the truth....

All 3 confessed to theft. Yes after a good kicking.

As if you actually know what you're talking about.

What ever happened to the King Power duty free scam where tourists were accused of stealing then basically kidnapped and hidden away at some hotel room until they paid the extortion money?
