Getting From Lower Sukhumwit To The New Airport

What's best way to go, and cost? Looks like a (meter) taxi ride would be expensive...

Tnx!

Meterd taxi Ekamai - Suvarnabhumi: 197 Baht, 20 mins. Gave the driver 300B before he mentioned any surcharges.

From the same place, taxi to Don Muang was 230B and same time.

Every taxi has a little plate attached to the door with his serial number. Always helps to keep bill lower and trip funnier.

£3 or $5.5, yeah right

Anyone have any idea what the fare is to Silom area? I haven't been back in the country since Suvaru opened and my mental metric for "hey, it shouldn't be that much" that I had for DM to Silom is completely lost. Also - expressway still?

Thanks for any help :o

Why does everyone worry about this? In any other country in the world people jump into taxis to the airport all the time. A taxi from just about anywhere in the Bangkok CBD (Sukhumvit, Sathorn, Silom etc) will cost around 180-200 baht plus any tolls.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I can't think of any other country where the taxi service to and from the airport is cheaper or more efficient.

$4-$5 dollars? If you're worried about that, I suggest you stay at home.
