A word of warning....please be careful people in the Andaman sea going on snorkelling/diving/sailing trips.... today one customer of my sailing charter company was killed at Ko Dam, an island just south of Ao Nang in Krabi Province, while snorkelling in 10 foot deep water by a reckless speedboat that ran right over her in front of her family... she died within minutes from propellor injuries... we know its dangerous on the roads here, its dangerous on the water too. Last year I lost a customer who rented a scooter on Koh Lanta and got cut in half, now this year already one fatality....the place where this happened is a popular swimming spot, the woman was close to the 85 foot yacht, and this speedboat decided to zoom by within 2 boat lengths at a speed over 20 knots and and ran right over her.... you will see it in the news in the next 24 hrs.... my heart goes out to her poor family that witnessed it, a tragedy on their holiday.. Stay same people...

These things unfortunately happens in the countries, where the kids with mental age of 15-years old, are allowed become boat captains or van drivers.

While their reaction times are good, their ability to predict "what if" situations is poor. Thus there are so many accidents in Thailand. Too much action, too little thinking.

Everybody knows it's part of life when living in this part of the world.
