I'm afraid you're in the wrong place to get the US price. Most of the Americans I know never leave the US for Thailand without buying a new laptop even if we don't need it. There's always a friend in Thailand who wants it. You're looking at a lot of laptop there including a legit installation of Windows 10 which may be missing in Thailand even at a higher price. You're risking getting a pirated copy of Windows. You're also risking getting some of the parts swapped out so be sure to get an unopened factory box.

Good luck.

Alas, I have been away from the states for a few years now. This is my last cheaper-ish place to get a laptop as I move to NZ in a few weeks.

Anyone purchase with these guys before? It's not as cheap but still available:

Be careful about buying gray market ASUS products here, ie. stuff that isn't officially released and supported by ASUS in Thailand. The higher price to get the desired product can be wiped out in the (unlikely) event that a problem that would normally be covered by warranty arises. ASUS will still agree to test and repair but parts will not be in stock locally and if they need to import them or even ship the unit to a facility outside Thailand, you are liable for all the charges. Typically, an ASUS product bought in a country where that product is fully supported, will come with an ASUS global warranty.

Have you checked online prices in NZ?

Any chance of buying online in the US and having it brought over by a friend?
