On Agoda this hotel seem to be in your budget 1257 B + taxes for a standard room 30 JAN. Look nice too.

Very possible I am sure. I stayed at a place just around the corner from the night market. Simple room, bathroom had the shower that goes all the place and all over the plastic toilet seat which I hate, but it was fine for two nights. 240 baht December 2008. I stayed one night that was a bit of a walk from there and paid 800 baht. They had a restaurant and a fairly spread out place.
