Hi, I need to book a hotel in Chiang Rai, but want to be near Phayao. Maybe the spelling is not correct.

Can anybody tell me where Phayao is? I would appreciate GPS coordinates or a map.

There are hotels in Phayao

There are a few hotels in Phayao but none are great.

If you are driving and want somewhere decent then better to stay in Chiang Rai.

Its about 60 mins drive to Phayao depending on where in Phayao you need to be.

There are about 5 new hotels that have opened in the city of Phayao in the last 18 months. There is another one still being built There are older hotels and many guest houses/home stays as well.

There is a brand new one over looking the lake about 100 metre from The Cozy Nest but hot sure of the name.
