A friend of mine asked me the following:-

I have been given a docking station for playing music.
The actual docking bit, is for an iphone 4.
Of course Apple being Apple, this doesn't fit anything else.
(Not even an iphone 5 :-) )
I want to connect my Sony walkman Mp3 player to the docking station via the USB cable. Is there an adapter or cable available that will allow me to do this?
I have asked here in Spain, but they looked at me like I had just landed on the planet! No rush, only a thought. But Thailand seems to be the land of cables and stuff.

I will have a look at the Apple docking station specs and the Sony Walkman specs, but as I am not a devotee of Apple nor Sony, I know nothing about these actual products at all, if someone could give me some useful feedback I would be very grateful.

Thanks Lansuan Man I will go and read that now.

My investigations today told me that if there is a 30 pin connector it may be possible.

That seems to be the wame as I am reading on that link you gave me.

I will ask him some more questions about exactly what docking station he has.
