How long should I allow for the start to finish trip (I estimate 10 hours with short breaks)?

Is the new airport well-signposted from my approach towards Bangkok from the north?

Not sure of the drive time but have seen signs on both Highway 1 (Saraburi entry) and on Highway 32 (old Asia Highway) and both direct you to use the East Outer Ring Road (route 9). Believe you would follow that to Motorway and then to entrance to airport (have not bothered to drive there yet). The only confusion might be from Highway 32 you keep left and ride north on highway 1 about 2km to a left entry/overpass to the East Outer Ring Road.
