webfact
Donald Trump falls to 2nd place in new national pollBY BNO NEWSWASHINGTON: -- Businessman Donald Trump has fallen to second place in the national race for the Republican presidential nomination, according to a new poll that puts Senator Ted Cruz in first place. The national poll, which is the first since Saturday’s tense debate and was carried out by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal, put Cruz at 28 percent, a jump of 8 percentage points when compared to last month. Trump, who led by 33 percent in last month’s poll, fell to second place with 26 percent. It is unclear how the results could influence Saturday’s Republican primary in South Carolina, where a recent CNN poll found Trump to have a comfortable lead with 38 percent.Full story: http://www.streetwisejournal.com/donald-trump-falls-to-2nd-place-in-new-national-poll/-- StreetWiseJournal 2016-02-

Crash999
Would sooner see Trump in office than Cruz. Cruz was responsible for shutting down the government, would get rid of same sex marriage, get rid of Obamacare and set back foreign relations 40 years. dunroaming
I wonder if the duck upset all the republican GW Bush apologists with his attack on him. Lots of blinkered people out there. I hope that Trump continues to rattle the cages purely for the entertainment value. Without him it would be mind numbingly boring.

thaibeachlovers
Two disgusting and scary political choices! They make Jeb! look good! Nothing could ever make Jeb look good. The US is now in a quandary. They started with a load of GOP losers and a reality show host, and that's not going to change. The Dems contest is between a lying loser and someone that believes in, OMG, socialism, and that's not going to change either. Short of Jesus Christ standing as an independent, it looks as though the next president will be a loser or a reality show host. Putin must be lovin' it. Ulic
I would rather George Bush do a third term than Cruz. I think the GOP establishment should think long and hard between Cruz and Trump. Trump may be a bit of a buffoon but Cruz is truly a loony. So between those two for me it is TRUMP.

wwest5829
Great news. As time passes folk will see him for what he is. I wonder who he will blame for this? I agree, great news. I'm thinking I would rather have Cruz as the Republican nominee. It would result in a knock down, drag out fight for the soul of America. Dealing with the need for big changes in focusing on the American working citizen or establishing a theocracy. I am betting that Sanders would beat him handily. The WSJ belongs to the same guy as Fox News - Murdoch. We all know about Trump's feud with Fox and even that debate he snubbed. Many other polls out the same day have Trump way ahead. This was a setup, polling only people who ID as "very conservative". Read that "evangelical". Cruz is the darling of that group. So whatever you think of Fox News, and I see it in the gutter, you might think the same of the Wall Street Journal - same owner. Trump is still leading the polls including beating Bernie or Hillary. Cheers.
NeverSure
I watched Trump being interviewed for a solid hour last night on MSNBC which definitely leans left. He answered everything they asked him. There was a studio audience that repeatedly applauded Trump. Watch out. This guy is really good. He's punching the main tickets that Americans are really concerned about. Even the talking heads at MSNBC wound up showing him respect. Cheers. How about this for his loony religious-nut supporters and friends: Glenn Beck believes that God brought about the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia in order to encourage Americans to vote for Ted Cruz. Cruz won the Iowa caucuses earlier this month, buoyed largely by the support of the state's evangelicals. http://edition.cnn.com/2016/02/17/politics/glenn-beck-god-killed-scalia-so-cruz-could-win/index.html?eref=edition

Norvid 1950
Medias are doing a smear campaign against Donald Trump. That's all. They only think about the Middle East and not America. This same was in Europe for centuries. History repeats itself not just for majority of population , but also might for them. Forming public opinion the Goebbels way should be exposed and banned. Jesus Christ was a socialist Jew, so I am guessing that he would just caucus for Bernie. Then again, when has anyone on the right every defied a chance to display their ignorance and hypocrisy. To hell with putting the Christ back in Christmas, lets try and put the Christ back in Christianity (assuming it was ever there to begin with). Of all the imaginary friends in the world of religious figures, Christ seems to be especially likable. Hard to figure out why most of his followers lack that charm. Shake him up and let him go, and he will speedily fly in any direction, maybe even conk you in the head. (Trump) is one smart cookie. Trump is not a clown and is not a joke. I have to agree that people dismiss him at their own peril. I completely disagree. He is not smart, he is a sad clown and is a sad joke. I agree with your closing sentence. Americans and people around the world will experience peril if Trump becomes prez. Anyone who thinks a very rich person is not tempted by added riches needs to have their head examined. They said that about Thaksin (and Thaksin said it about himself often), and it was complete ballwash. Rich people get rich because they worship amassing money. You think once they get rich, they quit worshiping the stuff?
