Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is the place where i should post this. Anyways, I am planning to go to Liverpool on 25th October and I've been looking at the national express website (bus). I'll be leaving from London but I'm not sure which bus station i should leave from. The site lets me choose from London (Canary Wharf), London Central, and London Golders Green. I'll be staying at a place on 27 South Ealing Road, so which bus station is the nearest?

Also, the site doesnt provide a map that tells where the bus stations are, how will i get there?

If anyone can give me some answers to these questions, I'll appreciate it greatly!

Thanks!

Mate, not sure what the nearest tube to you is, but if you are staying in Ealing I would suggest going to London central which is Victoria, the circle and distrist tubes both go there. Once you get off at Victoria station, just follow the signs for the coach station.

rinrada,

I've already looked at the schedule and I'll be taking a night bus (11 smth pm and reach there at 6am). I won't have to change buses either, so that would be okay.

anyways..thanks!

There are 11 stops, but i wont have to get down and change buses. On the website, next to "changes" it says "0" zero!. Pretty long stop overs at many stations, but i cant complain! The train ticket is pretty expensive. (im a student traveling)

Anyways, do you know what time shops open? Where should i go first since i'll get there at 6 in the morning!

The bus station is in the centre of Liverpool City, the Albert dock is a good place to visit, all sorts of old ships and buildings if you are interested in that sort of thing. There is an amphibious bus that takes tourists for a swim in the docks.

The museum and Walker art gallery are interesting and next door to each other.

I don’t know what nationality you are but it wont matter in Liverpool, don’t be afraid to ask directions we are a friendly lot in Liverpool and the language is almost English at 6 in the morning not much open so a walk down to the Albert dock and look at the old buildings passing through the Caven street of the Beatles fame, it’s a dump but at least you can say you have bean there.

You can buy a daily bus rover ticket I think for about £3 just jump on any bus.

Keep away from taxies they are very expensive

The nearest station to 27 South Ealing Road is, not surprisingly, South Ealing. Its on the Piccadilly line, change at Earls Court for the District Line to Victoria.

I'll check on my way to work in the morning whether you have to turn left or right when you leave the front door! :o
