traveltime to DM or Sub in rush hour

Featured Replies

Hello people,

i have 2 options 19.00 flight from DM to Surat Thani or 18.00 flight from Suvanabhum. on a friday.

i need to travel from mrt Thai cultural centre at Rachadapisek.

What would be the quickest option:

taxi, train, ........ and how long would it approx. take.

thanks in advance

If you don't have lots of luggage you could use the MRT at Thailand Cultural Centre for 2 stops and get off at Petchaburi. Use the interconnecting walkway to get to Makkasan airport rail link then straight to Suvarnabhumi.

Quick, cheap and reliable, especially during Friday rush hour compared to using a car/taxi.

Forgot to add - 60 minutes if it all goes perfectly but allow 90 minutes in case you just miss the departing train and have to wait for the next one.

thanks good advice, no lugage

Second the advice given, very straightforward to Suvarnabhumi from there. And absolutely the worst time of the day/week to get to Don Muang with commuter traffic heading out of town late Friday afternoon.

For DMK the best you can do is take the MRT to Chatuchak Park and bus or taxi from there to DMK to avoid at least part of the traffic.
